Revitalised Typhoon Shelter Precinct

It is intended to revitalise CWBTS to signify its historical characteristics and
echo with the cultural and historic elements of the area. New life is proposed

to be injected to the typhoon shelter through introduction of charismatic
dining experience on floating restaurants with sampan services to create the

old typhoon shelter ambience. Boardwalks are also proposed along part of
the vertical seawall, as well as the breakwaters so as to create visitor attraction

for enjoying the panoramic harbour view. Another Landscaped Deck is
proposed to connect Victoria Park to the harbourfront.

Cantilevered Viewing Deck

The existing promenade of the typhoon shelter along Victoria Park Road will

be shortly revamped as a quick-win project with enhanced railing, seating and
new harbour steps for a facelift, as well as incorporating water-friendly and

history respecting elements in the design.
