As part of the Design and Construction Consultancy Study for the

NDA First Phase Works, an UDS for the two Town Plazas is being
conducted to formulate urban design guidelines to provide guidance

to the future developments with a view to creating a dynamic,
vibrant and quality public open space, and enhancing the pedestrian

connectivity between major activity nodes and the new/existing
communities.

Several rounds of consultation have been conducted with the Urban

Design Advisory Group (UDAG) on the proposed urban design
concept with the latest round in September 2020. The guidelines

would be further refined taking into account UDAG’s comments on
such aspects as creation of a vibrant town plaza, climate resilience

and integration with railway station.
