8. LANDSCAPE IS FOR EVERYBODY AND SHOULD INVOLVE EVERYBODY
We are keen to know what you think of Hong Kong's landscape, so that your views can be taken into account in the study. We would value your views on any of the matters regarding the study.
To assist you in preparing your comments, here are a few issues that you might like to consider:
Do you think there are any natural or human features additional to those in Table 1 which contribute to the make-up or character of landscape?
Do you think that the classification and landscape character types in Table 2 adequately reflect the variety of landscapes in Hong Kong? If not, any particular ones you want to include?
What does landscape value mean to you? How do you think it should be judged?
Do you think the system of landscape evaluation using key characteristics, sensitivity to change, condition, and scenic, heritage and nature conservation value, set out in this digest adequately captures the quality of landscape in Hong Kong?
What landscape features/land uses particularly add to the quality of landscape?
What landscape features/land uses particularly detract from the quality of landscape?
Which areas of Hong Kong have particularly high landscape quality and what are the characteristics of these landscape areas that attract you?
Which areas of Hong Kong have particularly low landscape quality?
