If you have reported or made a complaint on an alleged unauthorized development to us, we will inspect and reply within 4 weeks after receiving it.

Information Required

• When reporting an alleged unauthorized development, it would be helpful for our investigation if you could provide information, such as the exact location / address of the site, the concerned operation / use and other supporting materials. All information provided will be treated confidentially.

Our Investigation

• Staff of Central Enforcement and Prosecution Section (CEPS) of the Planning Department will investigate public complaints of alleged unauthorized developments or referrals by other government departments.
• If the Authority has reasonable grounds to suspect that there is or was unauthorized development, staff of CEPS may enter the land and any premises on the site (including gaining access to the concerned site) for investigation of suspected unauthorized developments and taking enforcement action.
