“Be a Teen Town Planner – Planning for a New Era Community” Competition 2024
(co-organised by the Planning Department and the Hong Kong Institute of Planners)
The Planning Department and the Hong Kong Institute of Planners held the Final Presentation and Award Presentation Ceremony of the “Be a Teen Town Planner – Planning for a New Era Community” Competition 2024 in the morning of 2nd November 2024 (Saturday) at the City Gallery in Central. We are honored to invite 4 important people to serve as the adjudication panel and award presenters, including the Director of Planning, Mr Ivan Chung; the President of the Hong Kong Institute of Planners, Ms Amy Cheung; the Assistant Director/Technical Services of the Planning Department, Ms Johanna Cheng; and the Vice President of the Hong Kong Institute of Planners, Ms Rebecca Wong.
The submissions from the eight shortlisted teams are of high quality. During the Final Presentation, the shortlisted teams used their creativity to present in different forms their innovative ideas for the future of Lau Fau Shan, which was an eye-opener for the adjudication panel. We are also grateful to the eight practicing professional town planners who served as mentors to guide the shortlisted teams.
After professional judgement and discussion, the following winning teams were finally selected:

Congratulations to all winning teams and thanks to the teachers and students from all participating schools for their active participations. We hoped that this competition can deepen students' understanding of town planning and cultivate their interests in the town planning industry, so that they can become a new generation of town planners in the future.
