The objective of the Outreach Programme is to provide more opportunities for the general public, particularly our younger generations, to know more about town planning in Hong Kong and how they can participate in the planning process.
City Gallery
The City Gallery plays an important role in reaching out to the community to promote town planning in Hong Kong, showcasing planning and infrastructure developments as well as providing a platform for exchange of ideas among planning and development-related professionals.

Mobile Exhibition Centre (MEC)
Mobile exhibitions are staged at both public and private venues (such as public parks, public and private housing estates) with the support of the MEC, which is a vehicle equipped with touch-screen computers and plasma monitors with interactive media providing various types of information on town planning.
|
School Visits
School visits cover kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools and special schools. In school visits, we stage exhibitions under specific themes and provide schools with information packages. We also give talks on optional town planning related topics. The MEC also joins visits to schools to complement the outreach programme.

Roving Exhibitions
Roving exhibitions are staged at shopping centres, government offices and public venues to provide the general public with more opportunities to learn more about the Planning Department (PlanD) and get in touch with ongoing planning work.
|
Exhibitions and Career Fairs / Talks
PlanD joins public exhibitions, such as the Education & Career Expo and Eco Expo Asia, and provide briefings on different planning topics to various bodies such as visitors from the Mainland and overseas to promote town planning. PlanD also stages exhibitions and briefings on career in PlanD.
