Visit to Hengqin

On 15 November 2023, the Director of Planning, Mr Ivan Chung, leading a Planning Department delegation, visited the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin (Hengqin Cooperation Zone) and met with the officials from the Urban Planning and Construction Bureau of Hengqin Cooperation Zone, and the Land and Urban Construction Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region. At the meeting, the delegation introduced the latest planning of the Northern Metropolis and Kau Yi Chau Artificial Islands in Hong Kong, and exchanged views on the overall urban planning of Hengqin and Macao. After the meeting, the delegation visited the Macao-Hengqin Youth Entrepreneurship Valley, Hengqin New Area Exhibition Hall, Hengqin Port, Guangdong-Macao Traditional Chinese Medicine Technology Industrial Park, and Hengqin International Innovation and Technology Centre, to learn more about the development projects.
